DIY SOY SAUCE BOWLS

Oh, my. This was such a fun project! With some glass bottles, yarn, nail polish remover and a bit of fire (yes, fire!) you can make your own soy sauce bowls. The process literally cuts the glass! It's seriously amazing. They are the perfect size for dipping your favorite sushi roll. Yum. See the details over here on Momtastic. 

DIY MATCHBOOK NOTEBOOK

I love notebooks. I can never have enough. I made this little matchbook notebook for random notes and I really like it. It's super simple to make and literally takes minutes. Something similar might be perfect for back to school supplies, yes? See the details over on Momtastic and make your own! 

DIY CONSTELLATION SHIRTS

One of my favorite parts of summer is star gazing. I made these constellation shirts for Preston and Elliott and love how they turned out. Preston's is the big dipper and Elliott's is the little dipper. Perfect, right? I thought about connecting the dots, but decided I liked the subtlety of the simple dots better. DIY ICY DINO DIG

With the glorious warmer weather also comes eventual hot hellish weather. You need an activity to keep your little ones busy and cool and out of your hair. How about an icy dino dig? Each layer of ice and dinosaurs will make the kiddos squeal with delight at their discovery. Elliott was literally digging for a good 45 minutes and couldn't have been happier. JUST ADD NEON

It's begun. The inevitable "dino" phase all little boys go through. I kind of knew it would happen, and so long as I don't start buying hideous clothing just because it has a dinosaur on it, I am A-OK with it. I found a bunch of $1 dinosaurs the other day at the store and when I gave them to Elliott he was super excited. But then he looked concerned. He held one out to me and said "I wanna paint it pink, Mom." Now that was something I could get in to! He started lining up the dinosaurs and assigning them painting colors. Blue, purple, green, yellow and pink. A few minutes later, he put me to work.

I only had pink, yellow and green but blue and purple are forthcoming! Elliott loves how they turned out. He said, and I quote "Mommy, actually..it's perfect!" Thanks, my boy. Anything for you. (Pats self on back)
