DIY PATTERNED CORK TRIVETS

In my experience, cute and affordable trivets can be hard to come by. I have been using the same yard sale olive green trivets our entire marriage. Might not sound that bad, but they were. Trust me. So to remedy that, I made these cork trivets! They were super cheap and really easy to decorate. I might start making them to give to people as house warming gifts along with a yummy "welcome to the neighborhood!" dinner. You can check out the whole tutorial here on Momtastic. Enjoy!

DIY WATERCOLOR MIRRORS

I love these mirrors! I seriously have made a dozen of them. I just can't stop! The watercolor effect is so pretty and can be as subtle or bold as you would like. Ready to make some? Here we go!
What you'll need:
Glass Stain
Small Mirrors - mine are 2 inch mirrors.
Dropper - mine is from an old bottle of medicine.
Water
Paper Towel
Drop a little of the glass stain color combo you choose.
Use the dropper and add a few drops of water. Just enough to make the colors a little runny. You can use the tip of the dropper to swirl the colors around to get the effect you want. I even picked up the mirror and let some of the color drip onto the paper towel to thin it out even more. Once your have the color combo how you like it, let it dry completely and you're done!
Enjoy your pretty new mirrors!

DIY BUSINESS CARDS!

I have been needing new business cards for a while and finally got around to making new ones. I had some custom stamps made, bought an ink pad, grabbed my watercolor paper and paints and went to work! I love that they are clean, handmade and of course, have splashes of color. And it's pretty rad that with the stamps I can make pretty much anything a business card, and I have the choice to change my "cards" as often as I like. New ink color, new paper color, paper shape, etc. I think business cards should be a reflection of the individual and what they do/love and I think my new cards do just that!

P.S. For anyone who is interested, I designed the stamps myself and uploaded them to this site to have them made.
