Happy St. Patrick's day! We are having fun celebrating with our green, gold and rainbows today. Normally the leprechaun comes to visit us the night before and leaves a little gift for any little one sleeping in that house. Well, the leprechaun was running behind schedule, so he's really coming tonight. Ha! This weekend was a blast. Preston unexpectedly had a four day weekend, and boy did we take advantage. We explored a new to us park where we had a picnic lunch and fed the ducks oats. Did you know ducks love oats? Apparently bread isn't good for them, so next time you feed them, grab the oats! That night Elliott had the great idea to make homemade pizzas, so make homemade pizzas we did. I had forgotten how fun it was to make your own pizzas. All weekend long there was a kids film festival going on here in Salt Lake City. So of course we had to check that out. It was awesome. We saw Ernest & Celestine which is a french animation that was nominated for an oscar this year and I have to say, I think it deserved to win. The whole film festival, was so much fun! They had free pizza, apple slices and carrots, a photo area to feel like a celebrity and a whole lot of great activities to spark the imagination. It really was fantastic. If you are in the Salt Lake City area, you have to make sure to go next year. We'll see you there!

How was your weekend? Awesome? So going unplugged on Friday was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Staying out of the house was a huge help of course. We had a lot of fun! So just to sum up the last several days around here, Elliott's hair was officially out of control - notice the shampoo mohawk. So we took him to this rad barber shop to get his hair cut. I loved how they treated the kids just like the grown ups there. They got a frosty cold soda and a soothing neck massage. He was in heaven. We spent a lot of time with family and unfortunately my computer's hard drive crashed. Such a bummer. There were a few things I didn't have backed up, so it's a little sad. But it is so nice to have a computer that works properly all the time! And to avoid the unreal charges for installing a new hard drive, Preston bought and installed the new hard drive himself. So we are back up and running and trying to catch up from the days that I was computer-less. A serious affliction for a blogger. Coming up this week and next, we have some fun St. Patrick's day crafts and maybe a few non-holiday ones too. So stay tuned for those! Happy Monday!

Happy Monday! This weekend was a good one. I was spoiled rotten for my birthday! Balloons, bagels, dinner, gifts and of course cake. I have some mixed feelings about being in my last year of my 20's. I say bring it on! On top of my birthday, it was a gorgeous weekend and we had a blast with our family. It was really a great weekend. This week is going to be filled with some great projects getting ready for the oscars! Are you excited? I'm putting my ballot together and getting the decorations and menu ready for our party. Happy Monday! Over the past few weeks we have been kind of decompressing from Christmas. Please don't tell me we are the only ones who need a vacation after Christmas. We haven't been venturing out a whole lot, except the occasional sled outing and to run to the store. We've had fun hanging out at home, playing, working on some fun new projects and I have been getting ready for Alt! WIth it being in January, it kind of sneaks up on your after the holidays. For any of you who don't know about Alt, you can check out more about it here. It's basically 4 days of awesomeness for bloggers. I got my business cards in the mail last week and I can't wait to share them both at the conference and with you guys here. For now, we are getting ready for Valentine's day! The past few days have been chock full of Christmas activities and goodness and it's still going strong! Elliott's Grandma flew in from Florida so we have been having a great time doing holiday things with her around our city and around the house. We made snowflakes, sipped hot cocoa, and walked around the city staring at the pretty lights. We also got our tree this weekend and I have to tell you, a tree full of nothing but white lights is just so special to me. Though I have felt a little guilty and withholding not having ornaments for Elliott to put on the tree. So we got him his own tiny tree for his room so he can decorate it and get even more excited for Christmas. It's better to spoil than withhold, right? I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
