WE LOVE: MARBLE RUNS

The bunny was kind enough to bring Elliott this marble run for Easter. He absolutely loves it! We all do! Preston and Elliott come up with the most creative structures. I look at the pile of blocks and get overwhelmed. But Preston, he is a marble run genius! Elliott is still getting the hang of it, but he has already asked for more blocks so they can make even bigger marble runs. We love that the blocks are wooden as opposed to the plastic variety which are probably fun too. We just really needed something that wouldn't break. Plastic doesn't last long with this little guy and we would love for this to be one of those toys you never get rid of. We absolutely love it and have already spent hours building and playing. Definitely a good buy.
And just for kicks, here's a little video of one of the creations in action:

WE LOVE: BOY TIME

I wrote up a little article on the little things that Preston and Elliott do together both on a regular basis and as special daddy and me time. It warms my heart to watch them together, playing and reading and telling lame jokes. It also gives me (the only girl) some much appreciated alone time! If you are interested in seeing more about it, here is the article over on The Neighborhood

WE LOVE: MONSTER MAGNETS

While I was at Alt, I visited their amazing toy shop and found these adorable monster magnets. They come in sheets of body parts, smiles, and accessories for you to build your own monsters. Elliott has been glued to our fridge ever since! He's made some seriously crazy creatures. He even made one that looked like Hitler. Yep. Hitler. I love the colors and the creativity they spark in him. And I really love how they occupy him - mama needs a break!
Aren't they fun? We like them.

WE LOVE: LIST STAMPS

One of my favorite things is the thrill of making a list and one item at a time, checking off that list. I saw this stamp and new it had to be mine. Sure I could just draw the lines and cute little boxes, but why do that when I could stamp it? Now I make lists on envelopes, bills and envelopes from bills. Of course, I still need my planner. This is just for little lists and little joys from checking off said lists.

WE LOVE: THE TREEHOUSE MUSEUM

A few weeks ago, Elliott and I caught the train to meet up with some friends at the treehouse museum. It was so much fun! It being called a "museum" might seem like it would be more on the boring side, but it was the opposite. It's a two story building filled with different areas dedicated to topics like music, arts and crafts and even farming! My personal favorite was the mid-evil area. There were robes and crowns for the kids to wear, thrones to sit on and rule over us lowly parents. It was so educational and hands on and incredibly clean! Every few minutes a worker would quietly come by and tidy up any messes the kids would make. We will definitely be back soon. Definitely worth the train ride.
