DIY BIRD FEEDER

Since Spring has sprung, Elliott has been fascinated with the birds and flowers that have been popping up everywhere. We still need to plant a few things, but we made a bird feeder for the little birds to enjoy. You can make one too! With just a few household items, you can make a bird feeder in no time. Check out the step by step instructions to make you own over here on Momtastic.

WE LOVE: MARBLE RUNS

The bunny was kind enough to bring Elliott this marble run for Easter. He absolutely loves it! We all do! Preston and Elliott come up with the most creative structures. I look at the pile of blocks and get overwhelmed. But Preston, he is a marble run genius! Elliott is still getting the hang of it, but he has already asked for more blocks so they can make even bigger marble runs. We love that the blocks are wooden as opposed to the plastic variety which are probably fun too. We just really needed something that wouldn't break. Plastic doesn't last long with this little guy and we would love for this to be one of those toys you never get rid of. We absolutely love it and have already spent hours building and playing. Definitely a good buy.
And just for kicks, here's a little video of one of the creations in action:

DIY KID'S RECYCLING BIN

Elliott learned about recycling from one of his cartoons (thank you, PBS!) and since Earth day is coming up, I thought it would be fun and frankly adorable to make his own recycling bin. He loves it! He's learning what can go in the bin and what needs to go in the trash. Though he still has a problem with thinking the small space next to the fridge is a free-for-all trash flinging ground. Oy. We made this bin using a box, duct tape and washi tape and it's kind of perfect for us. He wanted me to spell out "Elliott Loves Recycling" but you know. This is better, right? For more details on how to make your own, check out the tutorial over here on Momtastic

DIY GEOMETRIC MAGNETS + DOWNLOADS

Elliott has been playing with magnets on our fridge like crazy, so I thought I should add some more to the mix. I decided on shapes (of course!) Find the ones you like best or download them all! Just download the files, save them and print them out on magnet sheets. Cut them out and let your little one go to town! We have loved making all sorts of things with ours. It's a great way for him to stay busy and creative. I hope you love them as much as we do!
