WE LOVE: PUZZLES

Elliott received a lot of great gifts from family and friends for his birthday, but my personal favorite and one of his are these puzzles. There are 5, double sided wooden boards each with a different animal and 55 colorful geometric shapes to use. They are awesome for using his creativity. If he doesn't have any more diamond shapes, he makes one with two triangles. Love it! Every time he finishes one, he yells "tah dah! It's perfect!" and usually makes a gesture with his hands as seen in the last picture. It's one of my favorite things.

BROOKLYN + SOME BRIDGES

When my mom was in town, we ventured (and yes, it was an adventure) over to Brooklyn. Dumbo to be exact. I really wanted to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, but we didn't end up having time. We did however have a great time visiting the Brooklyn Bridge from below, and wouldn't you know it, that's where they keep a beautiful carousel! The bridge is amazing and the view of the city is of course, gorgeous. I would love to go at sunset. I'm betting it's a whole new, stunning view.
And the Manhattan Bridge ain't half bad either.
