JACK O LANTERN CUPS

Isn't this little guy the cutest? Preston found these little half-pint mason jars at the store and I knew I could put them to good use. I think it would be adorable to make a ghost one too. Maybe don't even paint it, just fill it with milk and add the black for the eyes and mouth! Love it. You can see the full tutorial on how to make the jack o lantern cups over here on Momtastic.

WE LOVE: OUR PUMPKINS

Over the weekend we bought some pumpkins and decided to doll them up a bit. Elliott and I opted for paint but Preston tried his hand at the knife. Can you believe his mad skills? Without looking at anything, no stencils, nothing. Just did it. Elliott's is obviously a ghost super hero and mine is a ghostly family portrait complete with glow in the dark polka dots. We had a really fun time making them, but we're worried Jack might not make it to Halloween. Fingers crossed!

SPOOKTACULAR TATTOOS

As promised, here is the first peek into my newly acquired (still acquiring) mad illustrator skills. Aren't these fun? We have been using them like crazy! I think we just might hand these out instead of candy (who am I kidding...along with candy) for Halloween this year. Kids will love them! If you want some of your own - how could you not - just download them here, print them out on temporary tattoo paper and follow your paper's directions. For mine it says to print it out, apply the film, cut, peel and press on with a damp cloth for 20 seconds. But again, just follow your directions. The download includes four of each Halloween character (black cat, ghost and jack-o-lantern). We hope you love them as much as we do!

Blowing is optional. My favorite is the ghost, but that jack-o-lantern on a little boy bicep is pretty adorable too. Again, you can download the spooktacular tattoos here. While we want you to enjoy the heck out of these, they are for personal use only. Thanks!

Great news! I recently became a contributor for none other than Handmade Charlotte! I am thrilled to be working with them and hope you love the posts I make for their site. The first DIY I did for them is this easy money bank! If you are looking for an easy and useful DIY this weekend for you and the kiddos, this is it. This money bank is so simple to make and Elliott has really been loving hoarding all his coins in it. Check out all the details to make your own over here on Handmade Charlotte. Have a great weekend!

WINDOW SPIDER WEB DIY

Our first Halloween project of the year! It's a good one. So easy and takes almost no time or skill set. My kind of DIY! It's so much fun to play with, Elliott has been having a blast. I even made a few little flies to get stuck in the web. Creepy, right? We love it!
To make your own, all you need is some white tape, plastic spiders, mini suction cups and glue. It's pretty self-explanatory. Just glue the suction cups to the underside of the spiders, make the web out of tape and you're done!
Have fun!
