AROUND HERE

A good balance of play and work was going on this weekend. Bijou Market was as always, amazing. We had a hard time not buying everything we saw. But I did buy a few gems among which is this incredible light catcher. We all love it! So Bijou was the work part. Very, very fun work. The play part was a trip to the park, checking out the museum of art, lunch with friends, dinner with friends, lots of kiddo fun and more amazing food. Then Sunday came. And I got sick. It happens. I just hate it when it happens. We needed Sunday to decompress and just relax. So relax and decompress we did! This week is going to be a whirl wind of projects that I am excited for. Hope your week is off to a great start!

What a great few days! I love weekends like this one. We did our best to get all of our work and errands done so all we had to do was what we wanted to do. We went for a couple of walks and I fell even more in love with our neighborhood. We went to the park, painted portraits of loved ones, hung out with a few of the said loved ones, Elliott decided the best way to eat a donut. That boy. I also tried a new to me recipe! I saw this video a few weeks ago and have been dying to try it ever since. My brother came over for dinner so I thought it was the perfect excuse to try it out. Let me just say, ricotta gnocchis are good. Real good. And they were oh so easy to make! I hope your weekend was a great one. Happy Monday!

So, I have no idea what happened to my happy weekend post. Oops! Over the past few days we ran errands, worked a little, cheese bageled, played hard, dinner-partied, fondued (heaven!) and after all that, I feel like I need another weekend to recoup. This week is looking pretty good. I have some fun projects I will be sharing here on the blog. More Easter you say? But of course! And since Easter is this weekend, we will be doing some prep for that and getting the little man pumped with a few trial run egg hunts. Happy Monday!

AROUND HERE

As expected, this weekend with my niece and nephew was awesome. We visited the park, went for a walk, played games, visited the planetarium, watched science documentaries (my nephew is a science nut!) and celebrated St. Patrick's day in style. We set up a trap to try and catch Larry the Leprechaun who as you know I am sure, travels around bringing gifts in exchange for gold or things that look like gold. We didn't catch him, but we did get evidence with some of his glittery footprints he left behind! The kids loved it. We had green french toast and I tried to make the popcorn green and I thought it didn't work, but our mouths and fingers were bright green! So yeah. It was a success. I hope you had a great weekend!

AROUND HERE

What a weekend. As you can see from the unusual amount of pictures, I pretty much instagramed everything over the past few days. The weather was gorgeous and our outings were fantastic. There were walks and waffles, and toy stores and scooter time. It was glorious! Elliott got some sweet yellow pants that he is pretty attached to and I have no objections. We also played charades for the first time with Elliott (hence the silly picture of Preston) and it was a hilarious good time. And you'll probably notice some temporary tattoos on my boys. We've been going a little overboard with those around here. Hope this week is as wonderful as this weekend! Happy Monday!
