AROUND HERE

Around here, we have been having a lot of fun. One of these days I am going to learn not to plan everything to the "T". Because things never turn out as planned. Regardless of changed plans, Preston's birthday was a lot of fun and a little crazy. We painted some pottery, ate sushi - which Elliott loved (!) and did the whole singing and presents bit. On Friday, Elliott and I rode the train to meet up with some good friends. Apparently, he misses riding the trains back in Manhattan. He loved it! The last picture is Elliott's attempt at solving the problem of not having any coins to play the claw game at a restaurant. He wasn't successful, but he gets a gold star for his determination and creativity.

It was a great first weekend of December! So, the advent calendar is not going so well. Elliott is getting into it every time he senses something new might have been added. Candy canes, tiny toys, and underwear have been toddler confiscated and then re-confiscated by mama. I've resorted to just adding an item every morning before we release him from his room. And of course, I am out of control with the garlands! We have one on ever wall in the living room. I think I need to seek help. My favorite part of the weekend was my little date with my little man. We caught a movie and went to dinner at his choice of restaurant then went to "the big store" (a.k.a. craft store!) to "see if they have orange and yellow lollipops." They didn't. But mama got some neon yarn! Hope your weekend was a great one!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend. We made sure to make the very most of our time. Preston and I were crazy enough to go black friday shopping, but it turned out to be totally worth it. For our anniversary my mom watched the little man for a few days while we went to the movies, ate some fantastic food and worked on getting our new apartment put together. It's still not done, but everything except our bedroom is finished! I'm so excited about it. We also watched my niece and nephew on Saturday and Sunday, so that was of course a lot of fun. They helped us pick out and light up our tree! I am pretty minimalist when it comes to my trees. Just white lights for me! Luckily, Preston seems to like it too. I'm so excited for this holiday season. It's gonna be a great one. We're in full Christmas mode over here. Christmas music, gingerbread houses, and last night we watched A Christmas Story! Yep. We're pretty excited.

AROUND HERE

This weekend was awesome and busy. Bijou Market was going on, so that's always a good thing. I "debuted" my new line of jewelry which will be in the shop soon! We celebrated Aubry's birth and had far too much delicious food including the most amazing waffles I have ever had. Sure they murdered the spelling of my name (even though I spelled it for them) but I forgive them. This little jar is a star jar. Annie made them for Bijou and I had to snatch one. It's a jar with glow in the dark dots that look like stars. It's the perfect way to get Elliott to bed happily. We love it! I hear she will be putting them in her shop soon, so look for that! I hope your weekend was amazing as well! Happy Monday!

AROUND HERE

This weekend was mostly work. But good work. I love how everything for Bijou Market has been turning out and can't wait to share it all! We went to an adorable birthday party for a one year old friend of ours and spent far too much time at Ikea where I purchased a few funnels I have been needing and of course Elliott quickly confiscated them. Hope your weekend was a great one!
