POPSICLE CUPS DIY

Have you ever dreaded giving your little one a popsicle because of the inevitable mess it would create? Well I thought I would make a little something to catch the popsicle drippings to prevent that inevitable mess from happening! These literally take seconds to make and work like a charm. All you need is some little paper party cups - the kind you put candies in at baby showers - yeah, those. And an exacto knife. Oh yeah and popsicles. Of course! Just cut a slit at the bottom of the cup large enough to fit a popsicle stick through and you're done! Easy to make, easy to clean up and Elliott liked them so it's a win, win, win! Just in case you are a more visual learner, here's how you make them.

AROUND HERE

This pretty much sums up our weekend. We had a lot of fun with friends at various parks and dinner parties, I found out that Elliott has a greener thumb than I do and we unfortunately lost Belle to a very hungry T-Rex. R.I.P. Belle. We are looking forward to another hectic week filled with swimming lessons, doctor visits, and many, many projects. If they weren't fun projects I would be dreading it! I hope your week is off to a great start. Happy Monday!

HAPPY WEEKEND!

I feel like I need to apologize for the sporadic posting around here lately. I have maybe a little too much on my plate but I am hoping to get things cleared up a little more soon! Summer is one of my favorite seasons, but dang is it hard to not play when you need to work. Especially with a little one! weekend we are mostly playing with friends and working. What I like to call a balanced weekend. Not my favorite, but it works. I hope you have a great weekend!

WE LOVE: GRANARY ROW

Last weekend we went down to Granary Row to visit our friend Stacey and her awesome truck and we had a blast visiting all the other trucks, eating great food truck food (there is a difference) and listening to the band. While the band was setting up, they let Elliott go up and sing a few songs for the crowd. He loved it! And the crowd was too kind to clap and whoop even though he messed up the words at times. What a great crowd! We will definitely be back to visit to try out different food trucks and enjoy the other various activities they have. I mentioned that the only thing that could make it better was if they had a huge colorful slide for kids to play on while the parents relax and enjoy an iced hot chocolate. That would be the life.

AROUND HERE

We had so much fun this weekend! On Friday we headed down to Granary Row where we enjoyed the food trucks, live music and bright colors. I think I took about 100 pictures of all the colorfulness! Saturday, Elliott's cousins came for a visit and we headed to the science museum where they were having some games and prizes for the kids. They also had a dance contest which was hilarious to watch! The two little ones weren't as interested in the science part of the museum, but luckily they have a fun little play area that was right up their alley! That night we had a grand time playing card games and just hanging out. All in all a pretty awesome weekend! Here's to a hopefully equally awesome week!
