star gazing in the city

I love star gazing. It is one of the only lures to live in the country side for me. Since we've been here in the city, I haven't noticed a single star. But thanks to Ashley, I discovered this star gazing "substitute"! There are 201 solar powered LED lights on decaying wooden pillars in the Hudson river. Spectators on the pier can control the lights to reveal constellations from the night sky. Awesome, right? It seems like it would be beautiful to visit. One more thing to add to our forever growing "to do" list!

p.s. Speaking of constellations, I love this :)

for the new place

I told Preston as soon as we are settled in our new place, we have to make DIY art to hang. Preston is pretty talented so hopefully this will get him in the creative mood and he'll finally get around to making the one thing I ask for at every gift-giving holiday...a family portrait! Wouldn't that be rad?

p.s. How adorable is little Moses reclining on that gorgeous couch?

Guest Post: Danyelle's Typography Maps

Today's guest post is from the very talented and sweet Danyelle from Dandee Designs. It's so perfectly up my ally! Enjoy and thank you Danyelle!
Since Kersey and crew are currently traveling across our beautiful country I thought these typography maps from Bold & Noble would make for a fitting guest post. They're giving me all kinds of wanderlust + would look good just about anywhere, no? I'm thinking a spot over the fireplace sounds just about right.
