HAPPY WEEKEND

This is my new life motto. I feel like it can apply to so many parts of life - I love it! A print out of it is currently above my desk, but I am hoping to do something special with it soon. This weekend we are heading to the state fair! Elliott is so excited to ride the ferris wheel. But we are supposed to get a good amount of rain, so that might be a challenge. Elliott is also getting a much needed hair cut (the kid has the thickest blonde hair. Ever.) and besides that we will be doing a bit of work and a bit of couch potatoing. Preston and I have kind of a habit of finding out about shows a few seasons in and then binge watching on netflix until we can catch up. It's a bit of a bad habit I guess, but it is what it is. Yesterday was my half birthday (hence the whole no posting thing) so Preston and Elliott whisked me away for a day at the lake. It was perfect. But more on that later! This weekend we are going to a little BBQ with some friends and hitting up some fun things around town. We also have a few last minute preschool preparations to take care of - procrastinator? Me? We have one more fun school-ish DIY coming up next week, so stay tuned for that! Until then have a very happy weekend, friends!

The other day we were at a friend's place and they happen to have a pool. It was heaven. It's kind of silly how much I love pools. I'm determined to have one some day. Elliott is a little water bug too! We had a blast chasing each other in the water pretending to be various dangerous water creatures. This weekend I am hoping the weather will cooperate so we can head to some body of water to wade in. Otherwise, I am sure we will be having fun around the house playing games and working on a few projects that need tending to. Have a great weekend!

This week went by unusually fast for me. Maybe a sign that it was also a busy week? This weekend we are hoping to do a little grilling, heading to the park, riding scooters and playing a new game we're pretty excited about. We hope! The temperatures have gone down a few degrees so it would be nice to take advantage of some weather that won't melt your skin. Hope your weekend is a blast!

I feel like I need to apologize for the sporadic posting around here lately. I have maybe a little too much on my plate but I am hoping to get things cleared up a little more soon! Summer is one of my favorite seasons, but dang is it hard to not play when you need to work. Especially with a little one! weekend we are mostly playing with friends and working. What I like to call a balanced weekend. Not my favorite, but it works. I hope you have a great weekend!
