It's my birthday! I am spending the day with family and boy oh boy. My man and I are going out on a real date. My mom is taking Elliott for the night so yeah..I'm excited! We are going to see Amour, which is the last film off our must see movies before the oscars list. Speaking of the oscars, it's almost here! I'm getting pumped for our annual oscars party. Who will win?! I have my favorites, some of which are not so popular, but I am rooting for them nonetheless.  I'll leave you with Elliott's birthday message to me. Have a great weekend!

This is my rhino. I received her as a gift for Christmas and I recently got around to hanging her up. Isn't she pretty? I'm kind of obsessed. Well, this weekend is going to be a lot of fun for us. Preston's brother is coming to visit and we haven't seen him for a few years, so we are pretty excited. We'll probably show him around to some of our favorite places and knowing Preston and his brother, will be staying up late talking and talking and talking some more. I am also excited for President's day on Monday. I know that sounds weird, but whenever it is President's day, that means my birthday is just a few days later! And I love my birthday. Huzzah for the weekend! This weekend is going to be so much fun. Elliott's birthday is tomorrow and I am so excited it is going to be his most low-key party yet. It will have all of his requests and then some, so he will be thrilled. We are also doing some serious Valentine's day planning around here! A few more projects that need tweaking (like the one above!) and Preston and I are planning out our actual Valentine's date. Since sitters are extremely hard to come by on Valentine's day, we will most likely be spending the night in. Maybe a romantic picnic sushi dinner in the living room? Maybe watch a romantic movie? 

If this short video were a feature length film, we would be all over this for Valentine's day. Has there ever been a more ridiculously gorgeous couple?

HAPPY WEEKEND!

Elliott and I have been literal shut-ins lately. Until today, it's just been so cold and the snow just wouldn't let up. Walks have been out of the question, at least for me. Elliott insists it will be fine, but when we step outside he sings a different tune. So we've been indoors playing store and rock and roll, a game he made up. Pretty much you just air guitar and yell "rock and roll!" It's a grand time. We also have been playing with the bear above. It was my favorite business card I received at Alt. You can see all the details here. A business card and toy in one! Seriously, genius. This weekend we're kind of running around like crazy. So much to do! But I'm fine with it. Kind of excited to get out of the house! Have a great weekend.

I am excited for this weekend. We're getting ready for Valentine's day and Elliott's birthday which means too many lots of projects! So it should be a happy weekend indeed. I think Elliott and Preston are going on a little "daddy and me" date, which makes my heart happy. I'm also making some preparations for Alt Summit including a few gifts for some blogging friends most of which I have yet to meet in person! It's a little like having a pen pal.
