POP-ITS PARTY FAVORS

4th of July party favors

I can't believe it's already July! We are getting geared up for the 4th this week as I am sure you are. If you are throwing any type of shin-dig or get together, you could probably use these. Pop-its were always my favorite firework type thing for the 4th of July. I was always afraid the sparklers and firecrackers would burn me (I was a paranoid child) so pop-its were right up my ally. They are so fun! Elliott has been having a blast throwing them around our feet. Little stinker. If your family loves pop-its like we do, then this is a printable you will love. Just print off the download onto sticker paper, cut them out and stick them onto some festive boxes or bags to hand out to the kids. It really couldn't be easier! Use them as party favors or just for the kids to play with during the festivities. Either way, they are sure to have a blast with them!

ICE CREAM TATTOOS

It's about time we had some more temporary tattoos around here! In celebration of summer, I made some ice cream tattoos. I love them and I am pretty sure your little ones will think they are pretty great too. Just try to keep them from licking them off! You can download them right here, and per usual, print them off onto the tattoo paper of your choice and follow the directions for application. It should be something like "cover the print out with a plastic film, cut out the shapes, peel off the plastic film and apply with a wet cloth for 30 seconds" or something along those lines. These also just so happen to be the new addition to my Alt business cards, so if you are going to Alt make sure to get one!

GIANT FATHER'S DAY CARD

And I mean giant. Every dad would love getting this card for Father's day and the kids will love making it! We filled the inside with drawings of things Elliott likes to do with Preston. But you can fill it with whatever you want! A list of reasons they love dad, some hand prints, some original works of art. Keep in mind though that the paper is paper and if you use markers, try to stick to the right hand side of the card when it comes to coloring. Otherwise the marker might seep through the cover of the card and that is no bueno. You can download it right here. And for those of you with more than one kid, here's the download for you. There's plenty of room for them all to get in on the fun! Per usual with our oversized printables, take the file to Staples and they will do the work for you. It's 24x36 inches and costs a whopping $3 to print. Totally worth it. When you get it home, just fold it in half and set the kids free!

This is what the inside of Elliott's looked like. It's a roller-coaster, a slide, some books and a few hearts. Obviously.

MAGNETIC PLAY CLOCK

TICK TOCK.png

Elliott has no concept of time. He thinks 5 minutes and 5 hours are pretty much the same thing. And that 6 o'clock is late. Maybe I should enjoy the ignorance a little longer? Don't get me wrong, it's much easier to let him be clueless and tell him "5 more minutes" and actually take 30 minutes. But you know, there's that whole being a good parent thing. It really nags at you after a while. So! I made this printable magnetic clock for him to play with and hopefully learn a little more about telling time. If you want one of your own, you can get the download over here on Handmade Charlotte.  All you need to make your own is a ink jet magnetic sheet, the download and some scissors. Oh and a magnetic surface to put it on. Easy, right? Check it out and have fun!

MOTHER'S DAY SHIRTS

Two shirts for one holiday! These shirts are super easy to make and are perfect for your little one to sport this Mother's day. Elliott loves the tattoo design. He thinks it's hilarious! And though I love that design as well, I am partial to the Motherboy one. If you are an Arrested Development fan then you know all about Motherboy. I won't go into plot details here, but basically it is a mother and son obsession fest. Elliott of course doesn't watch the show, but Preston and I are huge fans so this shirt seemed like a no-brainer for Mother's day. You can download the Motherboy design here and the tattoo design here. Both files are in PNG form so you can resize them to fit onto your little one's shirts. I used my Cricut Explore to cut the iron on transfer, but you could also use an xacto knife, some freezer paper and fabric paint to make the same design. As much as I love a freezer paper craft, the Cricut makes the same job so much easier and perfect. I used this iron on transfer also made by Cricut and it worked like a rock star. Again, so very easy.
