STOCKING STUFFERS FOR GIRLS

Stocking stuffer ideas for girls! | And We Play

Let's stuff those stockings with some good stuff this year. When I was a kid, my stocking was always stuffed with lots of little gems that were just as fun as the bigger gifts. I loved it! I don't have a stocking to fill for a little lady, but if I did I am pretty sure all of this would be in it. That sweet purse kills me!

1. Building bridge. 2. Purse. 3. Spinning top. 4. Tights. 5. Bubble wands. 6. Chalk.

LETTERS TO SANTA

We're getting into the holiday spirit around here! Elliott filled out his letter to the big man and we sent it on it's way. He opted for the letter with spaces to draw pictures of your wish list, and I am willing to bet that most younger kids would make that choice. It's so fun and adorable! But just in case your kiddo prefers to write it all out, there's a letter for them too! Make your letters to Santa a little special this year. Download them here and here, then fill them out and send them off! Don't forget to stay on the nice list!

PLAY CHALKBOARD + PEG PEOPLE

Need a fun and easy gift idea for a certain little one this holiday season? I love this because it will spark their little minds with creativity and let them create a new scene and story over and over. It's the gift that keeps on giving! I can't wait to give this to Elliott and see what he comes up with. This design is perfect for taking on the go too. The hinges let you stand it up when in use and allow you to fold it up to put it away when it's not. I love it! If you are in need of a gift and want to give something awesome and handmade, try this out! They're sure to love it.

Before we get started, please oh please don't be intimidated by this. The wood was bought at the craft store and the hinge was too! Just line it up and screw it together. It's easier than you think!

Now let's make it a chalkboard! Follow the directions on your chalkboard paint and you should be good to go! The peg people were - if you can believe it - also bought at the craft store. I just painted them a little and sealed them with non-toxic sealant. And you're done. Your littles will love this, I promise!

CHRISTMAS TREE PARTY HATS

DIY Christmas tree party hats | And We Play

I am SO excited to start in on our Christmas posts! Don't get me wrong, I love all other holidays, but there is nothing like a good Christmas craft. This idea popped into my head a while back and I just had to see it through. I am trying to come up with an excuse (and some time) to throw a Christmas party for some of our favorite little ones but I just don't think it will be in the cards this year. These will still be fun to wear on Christmas eve just because we can! In the mean time, Elliott keeps trying to convince me that he should wear them to school. Every day. Maybe I'll just have to make 20 more and throw a school party! Don't tempt me.

So let's make some party hats, shall we?

Grab some crepe paper folds in the traditional christmas tree green and cut it into strips about one inch wide, then cut said strips into fringe. Isn't it pretty?

With some double sided tape to attach the fringe to some party hats. I used two different greens to make things a little more interesting, but you go ahead and do whatever floats your Christmas tree party hat boat.
