SPOOKY DUCT TAPE TREAT BAGS

Ok, so they're not so spooky, but I do love them. I made these a few weeks ago and Elliott has been begging me to make more. They are so easy to make, there's really no reason not to make them! They are great as party favor bags for little ones, or just to deliver Halloween treats to friends. If you have some black bags you could make some fun little vampire bats or black cats with some white tape. So fun! DUCT TAPE SKELETON COSTUME

IMG_2557.jpg

A few months ago Elliott decided he wanted to be a skeleton. So I started planning out the costume and came up with this! Of course, in true four year old fashion, he has since changed his mind but I loved this idea so much I just had to share it with you. All you need is some black clothes and a roll of white duct tape. You could get fancy and cut the strips of tape to look more like bones, but I love this simple clean look. As you can tell from the pictures, Elliott thinks he looks pretty good too. This is the perfect last minute costume for the kids or even for yourself. I think it would be fun to try it with some glow in the dark duct tape too. Wouldn't that look rad walking around the neighborhood on Halloween?

AROUND HERE

This weekend was filled with fun. My childhood best friend came to town with her little family, it was so great seeing her and seeing Elliott play with her kids was like a dream come true. I remember when we were little we would talk about living next door to each other and our kids would be best friends, just like us. Well, she lives on the opposite side of the country. But it was amazing seeing our kids play! After we parted ways, Elliott kept telling us he wished he had told his new lady friend that he loved her. You can just imagine what that did to my heart. It was a perfect fall weekend. The weather was so crisp and refreshing. We found any excuse to stay outside. I hope your weekend was a great one! Happy Monday!

JACK O LANTERN CUPS

Isn't this little guy the cutest? Preston found these little half-pint mason jars at the store and I knew I could put them to good use. I think it would be adorable to make a ghost one too. Maybe don't even paint it, just fill it with milk and add the black for the eyes and mouth! Love it. You can see the full tutorial on how to make the jack o lantern cups over here on Momtastic.
