I love a fast, easy and fun party decoration. This cake topper is definitely just that! Get a plain jane cake from a local bakery (I love Target's cakes!) and grab some crazy straws and this download and you are good to go! So easy and a lot of fun. And it's totally customizable so it can match your party perfectly!
It's almost Christmas! How did that happen? With the holidays comes which also means, tis the season for keeping the kids busy while they are home from school! I've got just the thing for an afternoon at home. I created this reindeer mask and guys, it is so easy and fun. Check out all the details right here. Guaranteed to keep little hands busy for a while and get them into the holiday spirit! (as if they need it.) Check it out and have fun!
We are big on movies in our family. We are always on the lookout for new movies that would be great to watch together as a family. And, being the kids party freak that I am, we occasionally like to throw a little movie party to go along with our flick! So when the good people from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment reached out about The Secret Life of Pets coming to Blu-ray and DVD, it was a match made in heaven!
From the humans behind Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets is a comedy about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. The new DVD & Blu-ray release features nearly an hour of bonus content, including three hilarious mini-movies!
To make the party fun, I made these stickers of some of the main characters from the movie and put them onto our cups. Kids LOVE being able to pick out something that is uniquely theirs, so of course this was a hit. You can download the stickers right here. Just print them off onto sticker paper, cut them out and stick them on!
We kept everything simple and fun with some homemade popcorn to fill our new cups. I love this idea because it is cute and fun, but also helps keep the little ones away from the big bowl of popcorn! Elliott loves this movie. That always helps when throwing a movie party!
Watch the trailer below and then go pick up your own copy of The Secret Life of Pets and throw a movie party today!

I had this idea a few months ago when I mentioned a magic 8 ball to Elliott and he had no idea what I was talking about (mom fail). You could easily make this on a t-shirt instead of a onesie for older kiddos too! I love how it turned out. I went over all of the classic 8 ball answers, and decided that "outlook not so good" was a perfect one for kids. Especially strategically placed over the diaper area on a baby. Ha! This is a super fun and easy costume for last minute mamas and an awesome throw back!
I made the designs and cut the "8" out with iron on vinyl and the "outlook not so good" I printed out onto dark iron on transfer paper. I love how they turned out! You can download the "8" design here and the "outlook not so good" design here. I included a few sizes of each so you can make it for a little one or your bigger kids. Follow the directions on each and go to it! Super easy and fun!
When bObsweep reached out about their bObi Pet, we jumped right on board. Who could say no to a robot that cleans your floors? Definitely not us. It's like having your own Rosie from the Jetsons! Except with out the sass. At first glance, it looked pretty awesome and the idea that it is designed to handle pet hair, well that was super appealing to us. Not because we have a pet, but because since having Pepper, I have been shedding more than a golden retriever. Post-partum mamas, can I get an amen? After we got our new bObi Pet and set it up, I was blown away with what it can do. Not only does it vacuum, but it also has a mop attachment. That’s right. It can mop. Your. Floors.
In our new house we have quite a few stairs as well as a step down into the dining room. I was worried that it would topple over the edge, but wouldn’t ya know it, this thing is SMART. It detects those edges and steers clear, so I don’t have to worry. My favorite thing about this little guy is probably the remote control. You can just turn it on and hit “go” and it will clean completely on its own, navigating in each room. It’s really amazing. And if you want to make it fun for your kiddos, the remote can control it like a toy (though it is NOT a toy – it is a piece of magical genius) Elliott loves making it go here and there cleaning up little messes – like confetti.
bObsweep reached out to us and provided this magical piece of machinery, but these opinions are totally my own and it take everything I have not to keep on raving about it. Seriously, magical.
Like it or not, back to school is here! Which means back to school shopping. We do the majority of our shopping online so when we found out about Giving Assistant it was kind of a no brainer. Shop at the stores you love AND get a percentage of your money back? Why not?!
I loved that Giving Assistant has such a great selection of stores you can shop. Just log in to Giving Assistant and select the store you want to shop. You are automatically routed to the online shop and the percentage you get back is saved automatically. No need to enter a code! I went with Target and bought all of Elliott's school supplies. It was so easy and I just love knowing that I am getting a percentage back. Some other online stores we visit often are also included in Giving Assistant's selection. Walmart, Amazon, and Journeys (which has up to 8% cash back!) I honestly don't think online shopping will ever be the same for us.

We are over the moon to be working with Owlet today! (you'll see why as you continue reading) They are an awesome company and we can't say enough great things about them. If you are a parent, hope to be a parent or know a parent - you need to read on and see what all the hype is about. Also, there are some pretty cute Pepper pictures!
When Elliott was a born, we lucked out and that boy started to sleep through the night at three weeks. However, with that great miracle also came stress. I was constantly checking him to see if he was breathing. He always was, but as a new mom that was always on my mind. Fast forward to Pepper's birth. When she was born, she had a few medical issues and needed to spend a little time in the NICU. Thankfully it was not a long stay, though going home without my brand new baby girl was the hardest thing I have ever done. She was hooked up to all of these big machines that were loud but told us she was ok. Once we got her home I felt like I could finally relax. She was home and healthy. What more could I ask for? When it came for us to settle down for the night, I was at ease and for only one reason; Owlet. This sweet little sock monitor that does the job of those big loud machines in the NICU by telling me she breathing and sleeping soundly. It is seriously heaven sent. Of course, nothing beats your own eyes, checking on your baby, but Owlet gives us some peace of mind.
It's really easy to use and is comfortable for her little foot. Every night, we put it on her, set it up and even though it has a pretty loud alarm that will go off if needed, we still like to check in before we go to sleep just to check. And when she is moving around and the Owlet can't get a good reading, it says "Pepper is wiggling" which I think is the cutest thing. Then, after our good nights sleep, we turn it off, pick her up, take off the sock and plug it in to charge for the next use. It's seriously a dream come true for a parent with a new little one, and in my opinion, absolutely worth every penny. Also, it comes with several different sock sizes so you can start with the smallest and as your little one grows, change out the sock size to continue your peace of mind.
A huge thanks to Owlet for sponsoring this post - we really love their product and know you will too!
We are currently renters in an cute little house. Little being the key word for this post! Elliott's room was really small to begin with, but when we found out we were adding Pepper to our little family, we quickly started brainstorming ways to make this space work for both of our kids. We teamed up with Hayneedle to make the perfect tiny shared space! Check it out!
We knew we would need some kind of loft bed for Elliott to free up the space underneath for Pepper's mini nursery. Hayneedle had the perfect one to match our aesthetic! I wanted the room to be white with fun pops of color so a white bed was the perfect thing. Pepper's crib is that same brilliant white and it's a mini crib, so it fits just perfectly underneath the loft bed. Going with the mini crib is great too, because we can wheel it from room to room. And because the crib is smaller, there was plenty of space under the loft bed for a minimal glider, which I was skeptical about if I would actually like. But it turns out it is super comfortable, minimal in style and size so it fits our needs just perfectly. I also love the grey color! The pink rug is a DIY from right here. We just followed the instructions to the letter and it turned out perfectly. The only thing I dislike about the space is the carpet. But hey! We're renters! The silver ottoman was a gift is from right here and we just love it.
We had this little vintage shelf from a yard sale, slapped on a new coat of paint and viola! Cute little bookshelf! The colorful ball lights are from Bright Lab and we adore them. I think we might need some for every room of the house!
I mean, just look at that sweet scene! My heart can barely take it.
Get your sparklers and BBQ ready, it's almost the 4th of July! We love the 4th and everything that comes with it. So Elliott and I thought it would be a swell idea to make some festive tshirts to celebrate! This shirt is unbelievably easy to make and I love the simple dip dye look. You can see all of the details on how to make your own right here. I'm telling you, EASY. Go forth and dye!
Are you ready for Mother's Day? I can't believe it's already that time. Chocolates, cards, handmade gifts and of course, flowers! Just in case you need an easy last minute idea, how about some flower tags? Give some to mom, grandma, auntie, and your bestie! The "to, from" tags are great for any occasion too. To make them, just download the tags right here, cut them out and use some double sided tape to attach them. So easy a child could do it. And should do it! Right, moms? Happy Mother's Day!
